Maltese
Country of Origin: Italy/Malta.
Size: Shoulder height: 20 - 25 cm (7.75 - 9.75 inches).
Coat: Long white hair and no undercoat.
Character: This dog is eager to learn, friendly, and sociable. He is highly intelligent and will learn quickly but, as with most intelligent dogs, he will become bored if left alone for extended periods of time and may become destructive.
Temperament: Considered one of the smartest and most gentle of the toy breeds, the tiny Maltese is a very sweet, good-natured dog with a ton of energy and a passion for playing and running. He's almost cat-like in his curiosity and the way he uses his paws to play with toys. Maltese are generally good with children but his tiny body can be easily injured. Supervision is recommended if you have toddlers or young children who may play too hard. He can also be injured by jumping off of high furniture and beds, or if he is unintentionally dropped.

Yorkies (Yorkshire Terrier)
Country of Origin: England.
Size: Shoulder height: 8-9 inches, Weight 2-3 kg (4.5-6.5 lbs).
Coat: Consists of very long, silky hair. The color is golden-brown with steel-grey.
Character: Yorkshire Terriers become very attached easily to their families. They are lively, intelligent and bark when they sense danger.
Temperament: This dog is tolerant of children, provided that they respect its territory. This breed gets along fine with cats and other household pets.

Poms (Pomeranian)
Country of Origin: Germany.
Size: Height is 6 - 7 inches, Weight is 3 - 7 pounds
Coat: Long, straight, stand-off and frilly topcoat with a soft, dense undercoat. Color: Thirteen variations including: black, black and tan, brindle, parti-colored, chocolate, chocolate and tan, cream, cream sable, orange, orange sable, red, red sable, and sable.
Character: The Pomeranian is a very large dog, so he thinks! This "large" (3 - 7 pound) dog is loyal, outgoing, strong, energetic, and quite full-of-himself. After all, he was once owned by Queen Victoria and has royalty in his family.
Temperament: The Pomeranian is suitable for most any home or environment. It is the ideal family pet, especially endearing to the elderly and bonding well with children over the age of six.

Poodles
Country of Origin: Germany.
Size:
Standard Poodle:
Height is 15 - 27 inches, Weight is 45 - 70 pounds
Miniature Poodle:
Height is 10 - 15 inches, Weight is 12 - 18 pounds
Toy Poodle:
Height is 8 - 10 inches, Weight is 7 - 10 pounds
Coat: Long, dense, harsh, wooly, and curly. Color is Black, white, brown, silver, gray, blue, or apricot. A non-shedding dog.
Character: The Poodle is a reliable companion with a regal stature and curly coat. He is intelligent, active, sturdily built, clever, and alert, as well as easily trained. Poodles love human interaction and are not meant to be subjected to the boredom of being outside stuck on a lead for extended periods of time. He can be seemingly human himself sometimes and needs to be inside with his family. Can be possessive of his owner.
Temperament: The poodles good-natured personality is one reason the poodle is so popular. Many owners marvel about the human qualities of their poodle.

Maltipoo
The Maltipoo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Maltese and the Poodle and may demonstrate any combination of traits from those two breeds.
Size: Height: 14 in., Weight: 5 - 12 lb.
Coat: Because both Poodles and Maltese are considered non-shedders, people who breed Maltipoos hope to end up with a hypoallergenic dog. The Maltipoo has a low-shedding, low-dander coat with a fluffy, soft, wool-like texture. It's medium to long in length, and ranges from slightly wavy to curly. The coat comes in a variety of colors, with the more common colors being cream, white, and silver.
Character: True to their parent breeds, Maltipoos are affectionate and gentle. If you decide that a Maltipoo is for you, you'll find that he's an active, feisty, fun-loving dog. They make super companions for empty-nesters and are excellent therapy dogs.
Temperament: Maltipoos are intelligent, friendly, loving, loyal affectionate family dogs.

Morkie
The Morkie, also called a Malkie or a Yorktese is a cross between the Yorkshire Terrier and the Maltese.
Size: Height: 6 -10 in., Weight: 4 - 9 lb.
Coat: The hair tends to be really soft like the Maltese, but with more of the Yorkies colors. Morkies don't Shed. They usually change their colors like the Yorkies do as they get older, they just get prettier & prettier. Most of the time the ears stay up, like a Yorkie, but sometimes stay down like a Maltese.
Character: The ideal Morkie is well-proportioned, sturdy, and hardy in appearance. They possess a lively and sweet expression and they are so smart.
Temperament: The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. You get a hardier & sweeter natured puppy when you cross them.
